What makes an Artist? I don’t have a clear answer to that question… but I can describe one of them who surely is one: Chris van Niekerk. Being a South-Africa national, and his love for nature, tools and outdoor activities were forged early on in his life. Chris’ passion (and also Talent) for playing music brought him together eventually with the musicians Beukes Willemse, Jakob Nebel, Phil Magee to form the Rock-band ‘Livingston’ in 2002. This band then became successful in Europe, especially in countries such as UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

After the active time performing for Livingston, Chris van Niekerk changed using his hands playing the Guitar with the mouse and keyboard of a Macbook. With his sheer endless creativity for graphics, design and arts he helped building up what is ‘Dolffs Art’ today: a place where you can get original and contemporary Photo Art at affordable prices. Thanks to his artistic synapses he built up over time, Chris knows perfectly how to compose a great Artwork. On top of that, he is the creative genius behind all our Instagram (@dolffs_art) and Facebook content (this is my excuse for the this-time-not-so-perfect post in Denglish, due to Chris’ absence touring with Livingston right now).

Livingston’s concert on Sunday 29 January in Berlin is already sold out, but we are offering 2 free tickets for those who convince us in a witty and funny way: „What is an Artist made of?“
Please do so by commenting this article on the Dolffs Facebook page (facebook.com/dolffs) and tag the friend who should join you! Alternative facts are also welcome 😉
Deadline is Saturday 28 Jan at 6pm (CET) and the winner will be announced and contacted that same evening!

Chris & Livingston, your team-mates and fans salute you!
